Introduction. The lack of an integrated approach to government regulation of the processes of integration and adaptation of migrants can lead to the creation of various marginal structures of migrants, which will certainly have an impact on the state's national security.
Methods. In the article, the problems and prospects of the integration policy of the state are considered, the ways of their solution are justified from the point of view of the systemic and institutional approaches. The theoretical aspects of this issue, foreign experience, the impact of adaptation and integration of migrants on the national security of the state are analyzed.
Conclusion. The policy of adaptation and integration of migrants should take into account the peculiarities of regional development and be carried out with the participation of the state. A change in the state policy in terms of the application of strategic planning and program-targeted (project) tools in the field under study will create favorable conditions for both migrants and the host society.
